Jose Vega, Pharm.D.

Jose is a co-author of Concepts in Sterile Preparations and Aseptic Technique.

Jose graduated from West Texas A&M University with a degree in Biochemistry. He then earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Pharmacy. Subsequently, Jose completed post-graduate residency at The University of Texas Health Center at Tyler.

Jose has been involved in teaching sterile compounding to pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and pharmacy students. He is an assistant professor at a school of pharmacy and has served as the team leader for a sterile compounding course for several years, teaching in both didactic and laboratory settings. Jose is experienced in regulations and laws related to sterile compounding. He assisted in the design of training laboratory.

Pamella Ochoa, Pharm.D.

Pamella is a co-author of Concepts in Sterile Preparations and Aseptic Technique.

Pamella graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Biochemistry with a double major in Genetics. She then earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Pharmacy. Following this, she completed a post-graduate residency at The University of Texas Health Center at Tyler.

Pamella began compounding sterile preparations as a pharmacy technician early in her hospital practice career. She has been involved in training pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in the area of sterile compounding. Her experience involves compounding sterile preparations, including chemotherapy, nuclear preparations, and parenteral nutrition. Pamella is an assistant professor involved in a pharmacy school course focused on sterile compounding.
